​Tokyo Re:Sound

Tokyo Re:Sound is a small 8-person mixed-voice choral ensemble. Founded in April 2025, Tokyo Re:Sound is made up of selected members from Tokyo Repertory Singers (TRS) and shares in TRS's mission of exploring a variety of repertoire regardless of the language or era it was written in. This ensemble also provides a fun place where singers can freely share ideas and have open conversations about music making while creating sounds that can only be created by small ensembles.

About Our Activities

Tokyo Re:Sound performs at festivals, contests, and competitions throughout Tokyo and the surrounding area.

How to Join

The requirements to join Tokyo Re:Sound are as follows:

  • Must be an active member of Tokyo Repertory Singers

  • Have knowledge of basic music theory

  • Be able to read sheet music

​

About Auditions

​

  • Music Theory Knowledge Check

  • Sight-Reading

    • Rhythm​

    • Melody

  • Music preparation check using music being rehearsed by TRS at the time of audition

​

​※Auditions are held between January and March every year. Members must re-audition every year to continue singing with Tokyo Re:Sound.
