Participation Complete! - "Harukon" 2023

Updated: Jun 3, 2023

On Sunday, February 26, 2023 we participated in the very last day of the Tokyo Spring Chorus Contest ("Harukon"). Our division was the Regular Category - Classic/Contemporary Music (with Conducting) Division.

We performed two pieces:

Hinageshino Hanabirano Yōni - Composed by Kō Matsuhita

Les Chansons des Roses - Composed by Morten Lauridsen

  1. En Une Seule Fleur

We had a lot of challenged up until the day of the contest but we can safely say that we did our best and had a lot of fun performing!

As a result we received an Award of Excellence of our efforts!

We didn't walk away with bronze, silver, or gold this year but the experience was definitely worth the work. This was also the first time for many of our members to perform as a part of TRS on stage. Many people were nervous, but we are proud of what we did and do not have any regrets.

Moving forward we will continue to participate in events throughout the year while also preparing for our very first regular concert in December. We hope to take was we learn through the year and put it into practice so that we can provide the best performance possible.

We than everyone who supported us from the seats and those who sent us their best wishes from afar!
