Top Prize (1st Place Gold) in Category at 2022 Spring Chorus Contest!

Hello Everyone!

This is Brian, director of TRS

Today we participated in the 2022 Spring Chorus Contest sponsored by the Tokyo Choral Association.

This was our first time at a choral association event and we were very nervous, but we made it through the event all in one piece.

We began activities as a group in January of 2021, but due to repeated states of emergency (and quasi-states of emergency) as well as the spread of the omicron variant of the coronavirus, we had a very difficult time recruiting new members.

It was uncertain whether we would be able to continue activities this year, but thanks to the efforts of all of our members, we were able to participate in the Spring Chorus Contest (aka "Harukon").

Of the 11 members that participated, it was the first time for 7 of them to sing with the group onstage. We were all very nervous, but we were able to take the 1st Prize (Gold Prize) for the classical/contemporary (non-conducted) mixed chorus division of the contest.

We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us up to this point and we will continue to work hard to bring you the best music we possibly can moving forward.
