What Kind of Choir is TRS?

Six years ago, TRS began recruiting members through a modest online campaign consisting of a simple free website and social media posts. While most choirs in Japan start as groups of friends or acquaintances, TRS began with just one individual. Today, it has blossomed into a nearly 30-voice choir.

Although recruitment began in 2020, TRS was formally established in 2021. Since then, we have performed at choral festivals and contests across Tokyo, gaining recognition for our varied repertoire and international membership.

TRS continues to explore and share music from various eras and languages with its singers and audiences, both in Japan and abroad.

【Our Singers】

Members of TRS are all amateur singers with varying levels of experience and skill, united by their curiosity and drive to explore diverse musical genres. Our singers come from a variety of backgrounds and are committed to fostering a welcoming community, regardless of profession, social status, cultural heritage, or sexuality.

TRS is dedicated to singing a wide variety of repertoire, regardless of the era or language in which it was composed. We challenge our singers to grow by exploring music of varying difficulties, encouraging both personal and collective development.

To provide members with opportunities to perform and share their music with the community, TRS participates in choral festivals, contests, and other events throughout the year. We also organize social activities, such as meals, picnics, and karaoke, to nurture camaraderie within the group.
